The Pre-School is open from 9am - 3pm from Monday to Thursday.  And from 9am - 12pm on Fridays.  Children between the ages of 2 and a half  and 5 years old are welcome at any combination of sessions.

Morning sessions: 9am - 12pm

Afternoon sessions: 12pm - 3pm

All children are required to attend a minimum of 2 sessions a week.

Lunch Club is open 12pm - 1pm on Monday to Thursday, for parents who want to extend their child's care after a morning session. There is an additional charge of £3

Last Minute Drop Off operates every day.  Parents can call in the morning and book their child into the Pre-School that day if there are spaces. These sessions will be added to your next bill.

All sessions are planned with the key EYFS principles in mind, which guide the work of all Early Years Practitioners.

There are four main themes:

  • A unique child

  • Positive Relationships

  • Enabling Environments

  • Learning and Development

Within the themes are seven areas of learning:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development

  • Communication and Language Development

  • Physical Development

  • Mathematics

  • Literacy

  • Understanding of The World

  • Expressive Arts and Design

We are committed to planning and implementing aspects of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Both through play based and planned activities children get the chance to choose their own activities with adults interacting closely alongside.  Staff also plan regular activities to promote learning and development within different areas of the EYFS.
