MICHELE O'SULLIVAN - MANAGER, SENCO & DEPUTY DSL

I have been working in childcare for over 20 years and joined the Pre-school in 2009.  I have achieved a Grade A pass in the Level 3 Cache Pre-School Diploma, have completed a NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and also achieved the Pre-School Learning Alliance, ‘Learning Through Play’ Certificate.

I am the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) for our setting and work with any of our children who may require some extra support. I am also the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the preschool.

I have two children myself and I love my job so much, it means everything to me.  It is very special to help the children on their first schooling journey. Guiding them when they start, watching them grow and seeing them ready to leave for school with lots of new skills, is so rewarding.

GHADA ELMAGHRABY - DEPUTY MANAGER, DSL, HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER AND LICENSED THRIVE PRACTITIONER

I have been working in childcare for over ten years and joined the Pre-School in September 2013.  I have an Extended Level 3 diploma for the Children and Young People's workforce.

I’m a mum to three lovely children of my own, a boy and two girls.  I’m fascinated by children and get a lot of joy from being around them.  I’m a creative person and I always have a few projects and ideas on the go.

My favourite thing about working at the Epsom Playhouse Preschool is coming up with creative ways to work with the children and see them express themselves.

YAGMUR AKTASH-  EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

I  have always been interested in education and teaching since my childhood. I have completed my Level   1 Caring for Children training and I’m currently working on my Level 2 training, once completed I will

start my Level 3 course at Nescot in the new year.

I love being creative and use these skills to plan activities for the children, I also enjoy cooking and have

a fun time helping the children during our cooking activities.

My favourite thing about preschool is being helpful in the development of children and experiencing          this happiness with them.

IZA GULZAR- EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

I have been working in childcare for over 10 years and joined the Pre-School in 2023. As a Nursery Practitioner, I love watching children grow and blossom into confident young personalities. Nurturing young minds and supporting them in their early years is something I find incredibly rewarding.

Alongside my experience in early years education, I am a qualified Level 5 Nutritional Advisor with a strong passion for the holistic well-being of children. I believe that nutrition, emotional support, and a nurturing environment all play a crucial role in a child's development, and I enjoy incorporating this knowledge into my daily practice.

As a mum to four children, all very different and unique in their own ways, I have a deep understanding of the importance of patience, inclusion, and tailored support for every child’s unique needs. I am committed to creating a space where all children feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

My favorite thing about working at the pre-school is being part of the children's journey—helping them feel safe, happy, and excited to learn as they take their first steps in education.
