MICHELE O'SULLIVAN - MANAGER, SENCO & DEPUTY DSL

I have been working in childcare for over 20 years and joined the Pre-school in 2009. I have achieved a Grade A pass in the Level 3 Cache Pre-School Diploma, have completed a NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and also achieved the Pre-School Learning Alliance, ‘Learning Through Play’ Certificate.

I am the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) for our setting and work with any of our children who may require some extra support. I also work on an ad hoc basis for the Crossroads Saturday Club, giving respite to parents whose children have additional needs. In addition, I am also the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the preschool.

I have two children myself and I love my job so much, it means everything to me. It is very special to help the children on their first schooling journey. Guiding them when they start, watching them grow and seeing them ready to leave for school with lots of new skills, is so rewarding.
