At Epsom Playhouse Pre-School we actively encourage parents to become involved in Pre-school life. One way in which you can do this is by joining the Pre-School Committee. We depend very much on the goodwill of parents and their involvement with the Pre-School. Without the Committee the Pre-School would not be able to operate and would have to close.

Why do we need a Committee?

Epsom Playhouse Pre-School is a charity registered with the Charities Commission and run for families in the community.   All profits made through the year are invested back into the school.

As a charity the Pre-School is run by an elected Management Committee (made up of volunteer parents, carers and staff), who are collectively responsible for the school.  Committee members are the charity trustees of the Pre-School, and meet twice a term to discuss operational matters, staffing, resources, budgets, fundraising, planning, social events, training and to review policies and procedures.   As a group, the committee ensure the Pre-School fulfils its legal obligations and operates according to its constitution and Ofsted requirements.  They also ensure a good working relationship with our landlord, The Scouts.
